Unfortunately I cannot recommend this contractor based on my experience.

One of the main reasons I proceeded with Alfie’s company in the first place was because I was assured an insurance-backed guarantee and supporting warranty documentation would be provided following completion of the works.

Despite repeated follow-ups over a prolonged period, no proper warranty paperwork, insurance-backed guarantee or even final invoice/receipt was ever forthcoming. There was always another excuse or delay, including explanations that a new provider or registration was being arranged.

I repeatedly asked for even a simple receipt confirming payment made, however this was also never properly provided. The aftercare and paperwork handling were, in my view, extremely poor and quite shocking for what was supposed to be a professional roofing company.

Following rainfall, the roof subsequently leaked into the adjacent flat. Alfie attended to carry out a repair, however the repair was unsatisfactory and the issue remained unresolved.

As a result, I had to urgently involve an independent roofing manufacturer/roofing specialist that I had separately retained in a project management capacity to attend and carry out emergency remedial works.

Following inspection, concerns were raised regarding the competence and supervision of the subcontractors used on the job, and further remedial works were required.

The entire experience became stressful, time-consuming and significantly more expensive than anticipated due to the need for further remedial involvement after completion.
