Disappointing Aftercare and Missing Warranty Documentation
Unfortunately, based on my personal experience, I cannot recommend this contractor.
A key reason I instructed Thomas’ company was because I was assured that an insurance-backed guarantee and supporting warranty documentation would be provided following completion of the roof works. Despite repeated requests over many months, I have still not received the promised warranty paperwork or insurance-backed guarantee. I also repeatedly requested a final invoice and receipt confirming payment, but these were not provided.
Following completion of the works, the roof leaked into the neighbouring flat after rainfall. Although Thomas attended to carry out a repair, the issue was not fully resolved and I ultimately had to involve an independent roofing manufacturer and specialist, whom I had separately retained in a project management capacity, to inspect the works and assist with remedial action.
The ongoing chasing for documentation, the lack of aftercare and the need for additional professional involvement made what should have been a straightforward project unnecessarily stressful, time-consuming and more expensive than anticipated.
I appreciate that others may have had different experiences, but based on my own dealings with the company, I would not use them again or recommend them to others.
